Macro in the woods

Providing there is little or no wind photographing spiders can be very rewarding

They are often still just waiting to collect prey from their web. These are taken with a Nikon 105mm Macro lens and the Nikon twin macro flash

Hunting for these insects increases your awareness of nature and makes you aware of a very small world. With these insects in woodland these are usually a bit slower than those in a field as they are a lot warmer and therefore more active.
